Step 1:
First, trim the background to your aquarium/terrarium by sawing
off the edges of the background with a fine handsaw. Make sure you leave 5 mm of space around the background, for expansion and for the silicone. Note: that you can buy paint from Pangea Rocks that matches the background color in order to cover the edges made by sawing. We recommend you use sandpaper along the edges before you paint the background.
.
Step 2:
Make sure that the background is free of dust and there are no openings for small fish to enter through and behind your background.
Step 3:
Make sure the aquarium/terrarium is clean, before applying the silicone.
Step 4:
Apply the silicone along every side in the aquarium/terrarium that will cover the background.
Step 5:
Insert the aquarium background.
Note:
It’s a good idea to take water for the filter behind the background to create circulation there.
Also note that there is space behind the background for easy cover up of your heater and other equipment.
Warning !!
Do not use soap, when cleaning your aquarium/terrarium use only clean water.!!!
The catfish Panaque nigrolineatus can not be hold in an aquarium with a Pangea background.
